hi all,

could someone advise me on whether the shocks below are a good buy?

4 X SHOCK ABSORBER GAS FRONT REAR VW POLO 9N + SALOON 1.2 - 1.9 FROM 2001 | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370665106505?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649)

my 2003 polo 1.2s isn't as comfortable as it used to be and as its done 106000 i guess the shocks could do with being replaced.

also, approx how much will a garage charge to fit them?

thanks in advance

Certainly looks a good price and I think ATP is reasonable too. No doubt it will make a big difference to your car's handling - I did mine in the summer and was very pleased. Though mine had more than 200k on them so they were definitely ready!

Sorry, not really sure on labour costs as I did my own but a wild stab in the dark would be about 4 hours work for a professional (longer for me!). If you guess on between £35 to £50 per hour, I reckon you'd probably be looking at anywhere between £150 - £200 for fitting. There's guys on here who will be in a much better place to say though so hopefully someone else will comment.

I should probably get the shocks on mine replaced... 131k of abuse and the poor thing is getting quite bouncy and tired. Poor little car.
