2007 Polo fuel temperature sensor?

Hi All,

I've the engine management light on, the cars a 57 plate Polo, 1.9 (turbo diesel). I've one of those cheap diagnostic tools which is telling me the fault is the fuel temperature sensor.

Can anyone tell me where about it's located?

Crasher.... Cambelt cover has AXR on... I presume that's correct?

It is in a little holder in the fuel return line from the head to the filter in front of number 4 cylinder, part number 038 906 081 B and about £20 from a VW dealer.

The hose clips are sods without the special pliers.
