Hey up - not sure where to wop this query - and strictly speakin' shouldn't really be here anyway as am not a VW or Audi owner yet - -but will be soon :o

Can someone tell me the difference between a TDI, a TDI and a TDI please ? Have been on the point of getting a Passat, and know there is 100 and 130 BHP models, but not sure what TDI is what - - and also as there are 3 TDI's, and only 2 BHP's, whats happening ?

Grateful for any help - and apolgies as this shoulda just been an introduction I guess

Do a search for badges and you'll get a whole list of answers as this is one of the most common questions. Save to say they can easily be changed so shouldn't be completely trusted. Go by the engine code.

The 2.5 V6 TDI 150BHP? that had two red letters. Depends on year, as said try to go by 3 letter engine codes as it changes throughout the years.
You can usually decode the VIN number to get the engine code via various VAG VIN decoder websites.
