Both fans on all the time - 1.9tdi 130 - is this correct

Hi, just been searching for info about the fans when they should be working.

noticed on mine that both are on all time, looking from the front, the right one is on a vicous type so will be on all the time depending on speed, the left one i think is for the radiator coolng but its turning even when i strat the car first thing in the morning......is this correct is there another sender i need to check.
i replaced the one at the back near bulk head(temp sensor thats a green one).....

any pointers or am i just been over cautious here...

I think the electric one is for the air-conditioning.
Turn your air con off and see If it stops.

yep you are right....i turned the climatronic off and the fan stopped......

but i did notice the engine cover vibrating like mad.....looks like the rubber mounts are broken......dont suppose you can get these can you.

Yes you can get then from VW, part number 038 103 638 K for the rubber grommets and about £2.20 each.
