I get my A4 avant 2.0T stop-start tomorrow.(can't wait)
When I looked round the car I noticed on the inside of the filler cap it says 95 octane.
Is this right? I assume it is the EA888 engine which I know when used in the Golf gti and the Octavia vrs uses 98 octane.
Is it because of the stop-start?

I've had a A4 Avant 2.0T without stop-start (09 reg) and I've a A4 Avant 2.0T with stop-start (59 reg) and both specified 95 so it's not stop-start related.

I've never tried 98 in mine. Thought about it a couple of times, but don't really see the point. I'm happy enough with the performance and fuel consumption.

I used to notice the difference with my 1.8T, but petrol was a lot cheeper then.
