Timing Belt Octavia Classic 1.9TDI 54 Plate

I have been told that special tools are required to change the timing belt and pully wheels.
Also the water pump might have to be changed.
is this correct?

Whats your engine code a pd engine requires more tools that a vp pump engine

Well he had the correct locking tool and engine seems tobe running ok.;):beerchug:
