Hi
can anyone advise me on what to check on my 2002 TDI B5 Passat. It usually ticks over fine at 700rpm (hot or cold) but now and again after idling for while it increases to 1000rpm no more or less for a few minutes then drops down again to 700.
Running on throttle is fine .not jerky or rough. SO I have had the wiring loom to injectors replaced, the MAF replaced, the air filter replaced and checked for any leaks on the air intake hose. injectors cleaned .. and no diff.
Cant say the prob is getting better or worse and it had been doing this for over a year now. But I would like to solve this issue without going up any more dead ends or spending out more dosh.
