Hi guys, Im having a slight issue with the passenger side front electric window on my cabriolet. The switch on the passenger door makes the window go up and down with no problems, even the one-touch works. But using the main switch control on the drivers door, all windows work EXCEPT the passenger side. It seems to be intermittent but very irritating! Sometimes it will go down and back up quite happily, and other times it will either not go down at all, go down very slowly and stuttery, and going back up it will again either do it perfectly or be very jittery. And it doesnt matter if you press the button once or click it a few times.

Is this a faulty drivers door switch unit or some sort of funky wiring problem through the drivers door loom?

Any help ASAP would be much appreciated as I dont want it to stay down in this weather.

Cheers, Matt.

Definitely go looking in the loom, ( check your switch first before getting too carried away ), yes open your drivers door and try to access the wiring inside the rubber gater/sleeve/boot in the hinge/ slam area and if you find any wires broken they are more than likely your problem, it is very common on these cars and can give you all sorts of troubles, ie window operation, locking operation, immobiliser and alarm setting, puddle lamps etc etc.
Do you have any other issues like for instance the window not dropping 10mm before the door opens, or even issues with the roof not wanting to open, its all in the door but certainly check your switches first.
Good luck
