I have an 89 20v 7a Coupe quattro which has a quite annoying problem of late. starts fine from cold and even from hot if it hasnt been sat for more than a minute or two but if I get it fully warmed up and then leave it for 10 minutes it will not restart. fuel pump comes on, cranks over fast enough but just wont fire, not even a slight cough. it seems like some kind of heat soak problem. seems to be ok again after the fan has stopped or a short while after that and opening the bonnet seems to shorten the time before it will restart. anyone experienced this before?
