New Guy.... need some help with buying S3

Just want to start off by saying HELLO TO ALL...

need some help Guys....
I thinking about buying a Audi S3 (1999-2003) and just needed some advice about all the Common Faults.
My preferred choice would be the later model which has 225bhp. Please if there is anyone out there please help me because after selling my Audi 1.8t I am totally car'less and Public Transport Sucks BIG TIME.
