Evening all,

I possibly need to change the radiator on my dear old Mums polo tomorrow.

Any pointers on what needs to come off to get it out? Bumper off, lock carrier forward (like a passat) etc?

No worries.

It was the coolant temp sensor mounted to the radiator, probably for the fan.

What must have been the factory fitted sensor was only finger tight having got a 30mm long reach socket on it.

Having whipped it out and comparing it to a replacement from GSF it didn't have an 'o' ring or a crush washer. The GSF one had a crush washer.

New one in finger tight and then nipped up a bit with the socket.

Thank you VW for putting 'every' bit of wiring loom possible in the way!
