Replacing broken rear light cluster

Hi all,

I have a 54 plate Passat saloon and the clear glass cover on the rear n/s light cluster has smashed but not the coloured glass inside. Does anyone please know if it's possible to just replace the clear glass as I imagine, if possible, that would be much cheaper than the whole lot.

Oh, any advice on replacing the cluster myself would be greatly appreciated too. Not sure if it's an advisable DIY job or one best left to someone who knows what they're doing!

I'd say it would be easier to get a replacement off eBay off a parts car or similar.
