I was wondering if changing the offside (drivers) wing was an easy job? Mine has rusted pretty badly and was thinking of replacing it myself. I know theres four bolts at the top of the wing and the plastic cowl has to come off from underneath the arch. Is there anything I need to be careful of? ie: wiring, pipes etc?

Changing a wing, is a straightforward enough job. I would suggest carefully jacking up the driver's side (and placing on an axle stand), and removing the wheel to ease access though.

Take care to jack from the exactly the right place (i.e. load bearing, not floor), and to put an axle stand on a main beam, not on the floor.

With the wing off, use this oppurtunity to try and clear as much debris (leaves, twigs, mud ...) from the wing area, otherwise rust and rot may recurr.

Ensure you feed the wing indicator light through the wing before mounting the wing.

When replacing the new wing, put the nuts on loosely so that you can align the wing before tightening.

You shouldn't have any major issues.
