Audi 80 Estate Wiper control stalk part number / Relay

Hi All

Please read and help

I have a Audi 80 TDI Estate the rear wiper and washer pump have stopped working!!
I have run a 12 volt supply to the washer pump motor and this works OK
I have checked all fuse's and found no blown ones (Rear wiper and Electric mirrors I believe are on the same circuit, mirrors work OK)
I therefore have a couple of questions:
Is there separate relay for the rear wiper?
I have a part number 4A9 953 503 is this just wiper control stalk or is it wiper and headlight and indicator all one unit? can some check this in vagcats please?

I just found this

One of these problems - arguably the LEAST of my woes - is that the tailgate wash-wipe isn't working. The column switch is part no
8D9 953 503
01 2103 30

I tried two other column switches: the first, with the same part no, showed the same fault. The second, part no 4A9 953 503 01 2101 02,
made the tailgate wiper operate - albeit only when the front wipers were in operation. At least I now know that the wiring and wiper motor are working.

So: are there any relays which could be causing a problem or would the problem lie with the column switch?

The rear wash / wipe should operate independently of the front wipers.

The relay is under the rear seat normally

Is this correct??
