Hi all. I have an A4 Avant 1.8 TFSI bought in 2010.
Last weekend the car completely packed in. The engine management light came on and the car juddered and shut down on a busy dual carriageway. We were recovered - the diagnostics showing misfiring cylinders. There was a string smell of petrol thought the dash and exhaust.
Audi replaced one of the injectors and the fuel filter.
I was wondering if anyone had come across this before? Keen not to be caught out again. I notice that it has happened on the diesels.
