Ebs warning light on

Folks
The EBS warning light on my 2006 A3 2.0 tdi has came on, brakes and everything feel fine although I could be needing new pads, tried switching it on and off using the switch on the dash, tried turning engine on and off as hand book suggests. Any ideas or obvious problems before surgery:(

You need a fault code scan done.

Do you have a DIS?

If you dont, you may have a brake light or similar blown.

A scan is most crucial here to diagnose the correct fault.

My mistake though its the ESP light:Blush2: electronic stabilisation program.
