Hi,

i am new to this forum,

this is my first audi, i have always been a bmw person but fancied a chance.

i have just bought a a4 avant 2005 B7 2.0 tdi with cvt box, and i have noitce that as i set off it is a bit jerky but then its fine throughout the gears etc, only does it off stand still in drive, i asked afew people and they say its normal but just wanted to be sure.

Also every time i come to a stop and hit 10mph the abs keeps kickin in untill car has stopped , happens all the time as im slowing down to stop the car . if i brake from 30 mph its fine all the way untill i come to about 10mph ish. there is no abs or warning light on so it sounds strange.

any advice would be appriciated

many thanks

sounds like the input shaft but you need a dealer to run the bucking/judder road test via vas to check

as for the abs it may be linked but its sounds like one of the speed sensors but again it needs looking into via address 03 mvb's for road wheel speed

Hi,

I have a 2005 A4 saloon (74k miles) with the CVT. There is no judder at all, at any speed or mode of driving.

I would heed A8Tech's advice and get it checked. Sadly, any fault in the CVT is expensive.

Hi L8RNS
Has the oil ever been changed in the CVT box?
Get Vagcom plugged in and read fault codes
