Let us know how it goes.
Bought my audi a4 130 already remapped, and to be honest im not liking it.
Don't know whether its down to a bad map or the ecu.
Been looking for a decent company in north west to check the ecu .

Apparently custom code remaps are the buzziness, they done a PD130 vw passat estate to 196 Bhp all on stock engine bar a front mounted intercooler and a bv43 turbo. I still believe it's bull*crap as the PCP/EGT should be sky high due to extended duration to achieve that power. However the printout shows corrected power but no correction factor ! I still think is 10-20 Bhp over estimated as the printout shows a very nice, smooth power curve !

Mine should go fine as its a trade mates rates thing, just need a little more pick up low down as the old quattro needs some boom boom

I think it will be a super chip map, not looking for silly power

I'm sure being a B6 it will breakdown in a cloud of clutch smoke because of the extra power that the mechanics cant cope with and the money you wasted coulda bought you a nice rnse

Yeah yeah new clutch

It's not worthy of being made a sticky and no one ever replies to it so it's lost in all the other worthless b6 posts ;)

The a6 club has better things to do than fiddle with 'lesser' clubs

We have bigger and better things to be getting on with :approve:

Remind me - who STILL has the most members? :D

Sigh. Do these B6 boy racers *still* have an inferiority complex? ;) Jon, although your car might go a little more like an A6 after the remap, it will still be just a B6. Accept it - you still have that secret hankering to be an A6 driver. The sooner you admit it, the sooner you can be a member of the biggest and best club! :)

170 bhp with the quattro feels like 140 ish but pulls all the way through.

I would say 4th gear is the most impressive but 6th gear has also added some boom boom

Its that quick the gsm signal cant keep up lol

Tried your 0-60 times yet? ;)

I find in the A3, 3rd gives the most pull but might get it remapped for some oomph along with a dpf removal (again with the removal of the dpf, is warranty affected?)

dpf removal is a big no no for warranty and legal emission tax dodging

been for a run tonight mpg motorway was 42 to 44 now 48 to 55 with a 62mpg best

back roads was 32mpg now 40 mpg (and I mean back roads full on)

verdict fantastic and no need to chop it now plenty of years in her

B6 1.9 tdi quattro modern classic

Right so DPF removal no no - can I still remap with dpf in place?

thats an awesome improvement on both roads, bet you're pleased ;) that means your wallet can stay in that bit longer before getting fuel :D

modern classic - pah!

If I ever purchase a vehicle with dpf it will be removed
Yes toucan still map with dpf but use a well known remap that is trusted
Common rail has far less issue with dpf
And to be honest if the vehicle is driven and serviced as intended then you should be ok
The last of the pd engines suffered the worst with driver error being a large part but g450 sensors and dpf lambda probes failing caused lots of problems
Mostly low mileage vehicles or dpf regen not fully completed
I just dislike dpf
Work run today 7 mpg difference
Averaged 48 mpg urban

Feedback to camco today to thank them

Interesting, thanks

Right, well my 1.9 is one of the last PD engined A3's and I'm getting alot of dpf warnings but i put this down to the long 5th gear so a couple of runs to work in 4th a week keeps it clear

My a3 done 28k in 2.5 years and its now done 39k in 6 months so its getting a good run every day

Whats the 1.9 like in terms of reliability out of warranty - tempted to buy an audi warranty once the approved used runs out in december but if its reliable then ill do a dpf removal instead? not in it for the mpg - getting high 60s every day so pleased

whats the rules on remaps within warranty? tempted to do the a6 but will be keeping the warranty going until 100k - currently on 74k

good job, well worth the money ;)

As of 2008 remaps can be detected and data stored on the bag server also vehicle details
This only applies if your vehicle has Been connected to that online dealer connection
Warranty wise then only affected component failure resulting from modifications it's a grey area
Extended warranty covers parts not diagnostics so 1.9 end production engine reliable just dpf issues cause workshop visits sooting up of the egr common as well

the a6 was made in dec 2007 so its probably one of the ones that can be detected

my diagnostics are covered in the a6 warranty which is an audi extended one, although im paying the comprehensive cover so i assume its covered PLUS £700 a year for the privilege

having no problems (yet) except dpf warning and the odd clicking noise when returning to idle and dodgy brakes but so far its been good (touch wood)

it also had a replacement instrument cluster fitted in may 2011 which i thought was odd as it shows up in vcds info
