Hi guys,

Anyone near the Telford/Cannock (or stafford, shrewsbury / anywhere inbetween) kind of areas with a VAG COM available?

I'd like to enable 'beep on lock' in my R8, but don't think it warrants $350 on a cable to do it! I am however more than up for the token couple of beers in exchange for your time!

Thanks !

Thanks for the quick response!

I had a look on the list and user PNS2007 is only in Telford, but I can't send private messages until 10 posts are hit! Looks like I'll be on here tonight posting away!

PNS2007's last activity was in March 2012 - so you may not get a reply from him as they're not regular.

Ah I did clock that, but I guess if I send them a PM (when I can !) does it drop him an email?

Yer he will get a notification to his registered email address.

Go visit Mark or George - I think they would be happy to VCDS a R8 ;)

Lol just had a look and I think Mr Kite is in Bracknell... around 150 miles from me :-D

I think Stoke is the easier choice, I'll drop Mr MFGF a message when I can!

Oh and I think looking at the thread, PNS2007's vag com is a micro can which I don't think is what I need.... but don't quote me on that!

Nope, you'll need the whole lot - HEX USB CAN

No probs. Always happy to help out.

A mate of mine before I had VAG-COM got Stafford VW to turn it on for him on his MK5 golf when he had it serviced and didn't charge him for the pleasure of plugging their laptop in.

Thanks buddy, but yes Mark sorted me out a couple of weeks ago now :-)

Stafford Audi originally turned the beep on lock on many years ago for me on a Mk1 TT... but didn't want to know second time round with another TT last year! "Oooh it's illegal in the EU".... More than my jobs worth... etc....!

How can it be illegal when the feature is installed in the car!!!!

Especially when Audi are headquartered in an EU country. Barmyness is taking hold in the VAG dealer network. God help us, as thats why I ditched Ford/Vauxhall for a proper car!

Hi Royster,

I am in Telford and in the need of some assistance with my B5.5 Passat (Airbag Fault) suddenly came on Saturday night and need to know which one of the sensors has decided to go pop.

Regards,

Jimmy
