timing belt

I recently had the timing belt changed on my seat toledo 1.9tdi. afterwards the engine started to make a whining noise. I think I know what this noise is from experiance doing some diy work on older cars. it seems to me that the belt is to tight. I talked to the man who fitted the belt and he said it would be ok. can anyone tell me if the belt can be adjusted or will the noise go away after time.

hi, the belt is whinning and is over tightened, if not adjusted to correct tention it is possible to run the bearings in the idler gear and whatever else the belt turns
