A4 B6 avant glove box broken & locked

Hi, I've had my A4 for a year now, the glove box lock had been broken off and seems to be locked (I can't get in to it anyway!). Any ideas on how to break in to it without causing too much damage? Cheers

Open the pax door, remove the dash end panel, push the catch in with a screwdriver

I had exactly the same problem yesterday ... even opens with the lock in the locked position ..... guess this requires a new complete lid ??????????
