Is the space under the floor (avant) very usable?
Can you cram things like tools, hivis vest / jacket, first aid kit and other junk easily under the floor?

Does the A6 come with any tool kit or just a jack and wheel brace?

Anyone got a photo with the boot floor up?

Thanks

Robbyg,

No one has answered so I'll give you my observations, space under the floor is limited, however there is quite a large "cupboard" on the left hand side of the boot between the wheel arch and tailgate where you could store your emergency supplies.

Toolkit no idea sorry

On the saloon I have managed to get a foot pump and a couple of high vis vests in there. On the A6, the battery is stored in the boot under the spare wheel, which takes up quite a bit of room. As well as a jack and wheel brace you will find the locking nut, and a couple of other tools in a styrofome moulding under the space saver wheel. You have to take the wheel out to get at these.

Sorry I missed this.

I have uploaded high res pictures, so you can look in detail:

Wheel Cover, with a fair bit of flat space, depth indicated by a £1 coin (http://ftp.artifax.net/misc/AvantBoot1.jpg)

Wheel itself, showing some space for packing malleable items like high vis vest (http://ftp.artifax.net/misc/AvantBoot2.jpg)

Toolkit, under wheel (http://ftp.artifax.net/misc/AvantBoot3.jpg)

Left storage compartment. Large, but having no lining, so only suitable for largish objects which could not fall through (http://ftp.artifax.net/misc/AvantBoot4.jpg)

Right storage compartment, quite large, but only covered by half net. (http://ftp.artifax.net/misc/AvantBoot5.jpg)
