A bit of advice, please.
I have a 2001 Passat Sports Estate 1.9TDI 130bhp, which I bought on ebay in Nov 2005. It had been remapped by the last owner to produce 192bhp and tested on a rolling road by a company in Peterborough called Jabbasport who specialise in remapping VWs. Apparently they are the dogs whotsits at this sort of thing. Well it cost the guy about £396 for the privilege! I have all the relevant read-outs of the rolling road tests. The upshot is that it has always slipped in higher gears if driven very hard, especially if fully loaded. However it has got progressively worse over the years and now probably needs a new clutch kit. My feeling is that it really needs a sports or heavy duty clutch to handle the torque developed by the uprated power of the engine. Any viable recommendations would be welcome. Cheers.
