Hi folks,
Wife got her new Passat Estate SE last Wednesday and we are very happy with it. One thing however does seem to be a bit daft. We had the parking sensors fitted as an option and they appear to be quite good and easy to relate the display to actual distances. The problem is that every time she goes to park near a wall, or another car the sensors have to be physically switched on. They switch off automatically once the car is moving at 10mph. Is there any way to change the default setting to switch them on when travelling at less than 10mph. Our last car (Honda CRV EX) had sensors that were basically on all the time, no need to keep switching them on when parking. Wife is not bad at parking but they do help judge the distance very well and the car is about 10 or 12 inches longer than the Honda.
Any ideas folks?
Dave.
