Aircon Heater fan swith problem

2001 20VT
My heater fan is not working in the first 2 positions but the Aircon light comes on in Defrost setting switch to position 3 or 4 fan works aircon light goes off not helpful!!! Can't read any fault codes.
Anybody familiar with the heater/aircon control switching?

I have exactly the same problem, Ive also replaced the blower and the resistor when I had other issues but neither effected the 1-2 position problem. Sorry not helpful but nice to know im not alone with this issue... if anyone has a solution to this I would be very interested in the info
