Wiper Problem

I've had a search but nothing come up.
I have recently had to free off my wiper spindles, wipers now run but I have a small problem and wonder if anyone else has had this.

my wipers now go down slighty before sweeping up.
I have tried resetting the arms but it still happens.
Do you think the mech is set wrong.
I have looked for a basic setting with VCDS but can't see anything.

I have the same issue on the RHS wiper. It is only very slight. I assumed I had the mechanism one cog off. Said I'd just live with it though.

Hi, kite. I think this can be caused by contacts inside motor itself. If you had spindles stuck or sticking, that could burn contacts a bit. Does that make sense?

Just to close the thread.
The mech was slightly off
Now working correctly, took a couple of go's to get right though...

I removed the motor with the mech. attached, removed the the nut securing the mech. to the motor, moved the mech over 1 spline, put the nut back on.
refitted to the car and put one wiper back on, checked the wiper sweep, it was still going down slightly be fore sweeping up.
off the car again, re-adjust the mech. again, and refit again checking the sweep before puting the car back together.
