Anyone know if rear LEDs can be configured to be always on (like front LEDs)?

Thanks Chris. How do I change the drl in vcds? Can dealer do this or do I need extra kit?

The dealer has the kit to do it but them actually doing it is the thing.

You can have a look here http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/forumdisplay.php?257-VCDS-Users-Locations for people in your area with VCDS.

You can of course purchase the kit yourself from Gendan (http://www.gendan.co.uk/product_VCHU.html) or Ilexa (http://www.ilexa.co.uk/acatalog/vagcom.html)

Its a 30 second job as all it is is ticking a tickbox but the hardware/software can do much more too

Would insurers consider it a "modification"?

Hmmm, I never thought to try this mod on the C7. One to add to the list, I think! :)

It's definitely do-able, every Audi I've ever had my hands on allows it.

It's not for me, just looks like you're driving around with your lights on all the time and don't realise lol.

Are the rear LEDs being discussed any different to normal tail light activation?

Nope, easy way without vcds is to switch your sidelights on everytime you get in the car but then your front drl won't be at full brightness
