I've just bought a new Jetta and find that water can pass the outer door seals and collect on the cill. The leak seems to be mainly against the central pillar.
Fortunately, water doesn't get past the inner seal into the cabin.
It's not a major problem, it's just that it doesn't feel or look right.
My local VW dealer reckons that it's normal for this changed door seal design used on Golf Mk 6 and new Jetta models and VW are looking at potential problems it might cause in the winter. This sounded like I was being fobbed off.
In my opinion, the outer door seals are poorly designed and don't fit properly.
Does anyone have experience of this problem ?
