If you google dual mass flywheel failures, you might be pleasantly surprised to realise the whole dual mass idea is flawed and the early failures coupled with very high costs to repair are inevitable, no matter how 'sunday' your driving style is!
Well, there is an alternative now:

A solid flywheel with the torsional damping in the clutch plate.....just like it used to be years ago. Its not a bad price for the kit, all things considered, and I would expect it to outlive the dual mass design by a factor of three at least....with no corresponding starter motor damage, or multiple road side assists because the flywheel pick off has stopped working.
