starting problem whan parked uphill

Hi
I had a few coolant hoses replaced a week ago and since then the car has a starting problem when left parked even slightly uphil. If I can get it faced downhill and crank it a while it will start eventually.
The car is a 130hp awx.
Ive done some reading and found posts relating to may be a leak in a fuel hose going to the tandem pump.
Has anyone had experience of this before I start? I dont really know what Im doing but am getting nowhere with the garage :sad:

Check the fuel filter plastic fittings, they may have cracked or disturbed one.
