Seat Altea Handbrake adjustment

I have an Altea 2005 and have just replaced the rear pads. The handbrake lever now almost pulls right to the top before the handbrake works. Can some one explain how you adjust the range of the handbrake lever.

I have adjusted a 2005 Toledo which is a similar style and you remove rear of centre consul by removing screws and pulling apart rear of consul whick gives access to cable adjustment. It was very tight when I pulled it apart but was ok.
