Bluetooth missing?

Just would like to know if there is something missing from my 2011 Jetta SE 2.0 TDi because as you can see from the photo, it looks as if Bluetooth is fitted but nothing is activated when 'BT' is turned on in Setup.16365

This is really bugging me because I just cannot see the point of marketing half a system.

I'm assuming your Jetta has the factory fit Premium 'phone prep? It may be a daft thing to say, but you did switch on BT on your mobile and make it visible to the VW system? Using the Premium system you should get a 16 character password on the MFD which has to be entered on the phone within 30 seconds. On the Standard, PLUS system the factory default code is 0000. I had no problem pairing my mobile to my 2012 SE using the factory default code & it works fine.

Have you got a control unit under your drivers seat? or if you have a scan with VCDS it will bring up 77 telephone, also what phone are you trying to pair with it?
