Passenger airbag disable?

Hi the Missus like having the bambino in the front but we can't because of the airbag. I know some cars have a key switch in the glove box etc. can this be done to mine? It's a 52 plate b6

Hi, i have the same predicament, as far as i am aware, the passenger airbag can be disabled via vagcom (vcds) but it means that it will be permanently disabled, it's a shame there is not a disabling button in the glovebox like other cars, but unfortunately not on the B6's. Best bet is to try main dealer or re-post on the vcds section.
