Just wondering does anyone have pictures of there a6 with black inlays. I've ordered it with my new a6 and saw a picture of a 08 one and to be honest it looked awful( prob down to the grey leather). Just for peace of mind anyone have pictures?

Thanks

Dan

I've sat in a Daytona s line that had piano black and I thought it looked very good.

You'll need to be careful when cleaning/dusting as they will mark though.

If they weren't so pricey as an option I'd have picked them for mine.

Yeah I'm still not sure about it going by pictures.there was no extra cost hence why I picked them and thought with the ami lighting pack would suit it better. Thanks for posting pictures however

Is that a black interior in the pictures? It looks very light in colour.

I was thinking the same. Think that's why I didn't like it. :/

I'll try and find that car online again, I'm pretty sure it did say black leather.

I expect it will be black, but the photograph makes it look odd. Much like paint, it needs to be seen in person to get a true idea.

I was like that when deciding on Oolong grey or not!

I love Oolong!

I had to see a few cars before deciding. The configurator is so far from the actual colour it's untrue!

Manchester Audi had an A6 (outside) and TT (inside) in oolong and we loved how they looked so different in different light. The TT was a black edition with anthracite wheels and it looked stunning.

Belfast Audi had a new A6 S-Line in Oolong in the showroom and I loved it when I saw it. They had a A7 in Oolong outside and as you say, looked different in different lighting and they both looked great!

Went to Audi Bradford today to look at the Piano finish as the pictures don't really impress me. Unfortunately they did not have any A6's with this finish but I checked out the standard brushed Aluminium, it looks great everywhere except on the Ashtray where it looks really cheap and plasticky. That helped make my mind up and go for the Piano black. I did see the Piano finish on an A4 and it looked quite nice, it is realyl prone to dust and finger prints however!

The salemans assured me it will look great and very unique in Ireland with the sline, daytona grey and am lighting pack. I saw one in a r8 and loved it. :p

Ah just curious as when I was in Belfast Audi last week they had a A6 in the showroom with black leather and piano black inlays.

Nice?i ordered the black inlays blind as my partner didn't like the silver. And we both thought the wood was awful.

I agree on the wood, not my thing.

I like the piano black in the A4 but not the A6, probably due to the smaller cabin in the A4.

Well my partner agreed on me getting the a6 avant on one conditions I get the wood. That's till she saw it. It was a win win situation if the black inlays work out. My biggest regret is not getting the rotor alloys. But it's something that can be added eventually.

What colour did you go for? IMO, the rotors work best on light colours or black. The greys (all of them!) are too similar.

Also look at tyre costs!

I like the RS6 style ones but my wife wasn't keen at all.

I like the 18s. I first saw one in a dealer and it looked good. I wanted to go for a 19 though as I feel the car really needs something a touch bigger to look "right".

Her opinion was your makin the family car sporty enough with the sline. No need for alloys. Says the same woman who just bought a vw gtd.

She who must be obeyed!!

I'm the same, this will be mainly driven by her and if she has her way on this then I get my way on the GT3 that I want ;)

Leaving snakeskin aside, is wood wood or plastic? My wood feels and looks like plastic.

Wood in Audi A6 is really wood. Cheap interior plastic is usually cost saving issue in major Japan cars

I wonder why they treat it so that it looks and feels like plastic?!

Interior trims (5MG) seems to look like and feels like plastic because they are covered with varnish. I ordered (7TL) option for the same price and got 100% wood surface.

Thanks.

I know how good vinyl finishes can be, so it leave options open to anyone who wants a change from boggo S-Line silver.

Does the piano black option come with -

a) a servant to constantly polish off all the fingermarks, or
b) a life-time supply of pure white cotton gloves to be worn at all times while in the vehicle, and
b2) a special storage point and dispenser for the p.w.c.g. ?

Or am I the only one with grease guns for fingers?

Just had a study of these pictures and i am a little confused. I have an S-line car with brush aluminium, but the area below the gear lever is all coated in stitched leather. Just looked at your pictures and there does not appear to be leather on the centre console. I dont have leather on the door handles so guessing i dont have the extended leather package. ordered the car from new. Can anyone shed any light on the difference in trim.
