Hi guys...
Hope you can help
I am next week trading in my audi tt x reg for a nice audi a4 56 plate 2.0 tfsi sline convertible.
Couple of things ive noticed on it which i hope you can assist with having looked at a few other models.
Does the battery cover ( under the bonnet) come standard on all audi a4 models and does anyone know what the item in the picture below that im pointing to is as my soon to be a4 cabrio doesnt seem to have it or its missing???
Any replies greatly appreciated guys

I don't think anything goes in there, I use it to put loose change in

Not sure about the battery cover, but mine didn't come with one and I think there's a few other forum member's who didn't get one with theirs either.

That little bit there is just a spare empty block for whatever you want it to be.

The space in the centre console is where the Start Button is on the RS4

I think this is what you're looking for here re the battery cover
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-A4-B6-B7-Battery-Cover-Plate-8E2819422-All-Styles-Right-Hand-Drive-/160763486800?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item256e402250

As to the little slot, agree with the above, usually for coins or the RS4 start button.

Its meant for your packet of fags that's why its positioned next to the lighter. there are variations of this, like for the RS4 its the space for the starter button and for soft tops, its the area where Audi put the roof controls.

On the budget version of the Audi Sat Nav, it has the control knob and 4 buttons in this hole in the centre console.

You can just see the control on this image

I don't think it controls the satnav, although I am intruiged to what that control is. IIRC the A4 B/7 came with a CD based Satnav (bns?) and a full colour RNS-E both of which are controlled from the headunit.
