Steering Noise

Hi can anyone help? My car is a 52 plate VW Polo 1.2 and it has started making a funny boinging noise when I turn the steering wheel, this only happens at slow speed and stationary when the hard lock is on.... any ideas? Help greatly appreciated.

Try jacking each side up so that the weight is off the wheel, and give the strut a good wiggle to see if the top bearing/mount has any play. Careful how you support it whilst you're giving it a good shake.

Could be leak from Power Steering pipe.
