That's £4K less than what it should be, something stinks, bet its a Cat C or something.

Probably drinking oil like there's no tomorrow. There are serious issues with these engines and their oil consumption...

Well, the ad's gone, so I'm assuming it was a typo. If it were drinking oil, it should be sorted under warranty. First I've heard of the 1.4 Twincharger drinking oil though.

I've heard of a couple (fabias with same engine),Vw are aware and sort under warranty so that can't be the reason,probably a scam.

I'm a regular on UK-POLOS.net and there are quite a few people on there who are having issues with these. Work done under warranty doesn't seem to sort the problem in the majority of cases. Apparently a revised engine is in the pipeline with slightly larger piston rings...
