No, I only supplied the water pump because I wanted to make sure the impeller was metal and not plastic, all belts etc were supplied and fitted by Stafford Audi, it was well worth a 300mile round trip as Wimbledon Audi wanted £791-00 to do the same job

If you supply the parts I doubt you will get a warrantee. What would Aubrey charge for the parts. Regards Peter

Well, I am quite taken aback. I have only used Fleet autos once and being a mad diy person we exchanged lots of technical information. I agree with Peter in that you should under no circumstances provide parts for a timing belt change. These are critical components and you will need both parts and labour waranty. I know that Aubery uses parts from the Audi dealer as I saw the parts myself. So please pay the extra for a supply and fit job whoever does the job.

Hi everyone, in my other post A6 TDI starting problem, I have just posted that I was quoted £1100 just for cam belt tensioner change for Listers Audi Worcester, my local. As I also need a diesle injection pump belt too I called Stafford Audi who quoted me £525 for Cam belt, water pump, diesel drive belt, tensioners, groove belts. Interesting figures being quoted....Stafford Audi the top bananas!!!!:approve:

BTW - forgot to mention that when I took mine to Stafford Audi, on the day they also said there was some remedial work to be carried out to the battery plenum (whatever that is). They said Audi is paying. I said well OK then
:drive:

How long does it takes to do it?
Is it a question of dropping it in the morning and pick it up in the afternoon?

Is there a cinema or something like that around?

Cheers

Jack

I dropped it off there at 9:15am and wandered into Stafford (1.5 miles). It's not a bad place - some bookshops & coffee shops and you pass a bowling alley on the way. Then wandered back and the car was ready at about 2pm.
