Hi I'm thinking of buying a '55' plate Golf Plus 1.9 105bhp would this have a DPF fitted? Is there any way I could find out? Can you phone VW customer services with the reg and would they be able to tell you? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks Justin

Never seen one of these with a DPF.

Thanks Crasher. I'm looking at this as I currently have a Zafira with a dpf and its nothing but a pain when the light comes on and we have to take it on a 20 min run.

What's your opinion on the golf plus?

The Golf Plus is a good car, boring but sturdy. DPF problems are not as rife as people would have you think.

http://vag-codes.info/vag-option-codes

Above lists meanings for all option codes (slightly missleading as many were not strictly options as far as the customer was concerned) including emission standards.

eg. 0GG = EU4 7GG = EU4 with DPF

so by implication 0GG is EU4 without DPF

Of course your car may not be EU 4 but all the standards, before and after EU4, are in this document.

You should be able to find the codes for your car on a label on the boot floor.

On Skodas they are also at the front of the service record book so probably same for all VAG cars.
