I am pleased with my GT 170. Much nicer than a standard Passat, and you get a lot for the money compared to an Audi.
I test drove an A4 and found loads of pot-holes I never know existed. :-(

What I really like: Styling, legroom, big boot, BlueTooth & SD Card hifi, frameless windows, tinted windows, F+R parking sensors as standard, Park Assist II ( opt Extra: it's really funny watching the car steer into/out of a space.), much quieter than my previous Passat PD. I got 63.4mpg the other week driving from Wycombe to Harwich, which was nice. Usually get about 52mpg cross-country to work. About 750miles on a tank full.
The Bluemotion is handy; and a good laugh the first time the Mrs drives, and it cuts the engine at the lights ! lol

The worst part for me are the seats. They take a bit of getting used to, compared to my old Passat with cloth trim. The Sat Nav is OK, but not as good as a stand-alone version (e.g. TomTom, Google Nav etc).

Get yourself down the dealer for a test-drive.
Are you looking new or 2nd hand? If 2nd hand, then 4 or 5 seats?
