Is it actually a button - I thought that Audi A/c controls had this somewhere and it was part of the sensing system?

Similarly...also thought it could be a sensor.

It's a button - does nothing for a/c that I can see - I thought it was for use in Key re-coding / coding - don't ask me why or where I got the idea from.......

18 degrees! Must be cold in your car. :-)

....I wonder if the calibration is wrong, as it doesn't feel cold.

Might just be me being a girly wuss. Mine is set at 22! :-)

Sorry to resurrect this post, but did anyone find out what this button does.

If I press and hold the button it does change the fan speed, but I don't know what else it does.

Automatic? If you leave it on during a hot day does the fan speed go mental and then slow down as the car cools....

The auto button speeds and slows the fan, but still not sure what else it does.

Visit to Audi and ask a technical minded person?

No manual. The mmi user handbook is missing (from the mmi screen)

I will ask my dealer

I've been wondering what that button is for. I've looked in the manual but can't find anything about.
