TDI Mpg

I have had my ex demo 3300 miles 61 reg 1.6tdi for approx 6 weeks , have done approx 1800 miles average mpg over that period is currently 60.1 , probaly 50% motorway rest A+B roads , my average with my well run in 2.0tdi A3 was 52mpg , what are other people getting with higher mileage cars? thanks Geoff .

Hi. Had mine A1 1.6 tdi for about a month now. Done 1000miles so far and averaging 54.1 mpg at the moment. About 5% town work, rest A & B roads.

I realise 1800 miles is not a lot , but the mpg has definatly improved over that period , Geoff .

Hi all,

As per another posting I will be getting and ex-demo 1.6 TDI car and I will be posting my MPG since I will be driving about 120 miles per day, hopefully I will be getting between 60 and 65 MPG.

My wife is getting 58 MPG on a mix of motorway/urban roads...

I get 48 MPG booting it about town and 52-58 while on longer drives. Which is pretty good. I am on 19k miles so far, no issues with the car, new tyres front at 12k... Maybe something to do with booting it about town :)

Yep, maybe but I suspect we'll never know as the OP hasn't been active since he posted this thread - 4 years ago.
