2005 vw caddy stereo

I need to remove the stereo from my 2005 VW caddy van. Do not want to try this without having some background info, so can anyone help. Much appreciated.

It depends on what make your stereo is. Is it a VW Blaupunkt Gamma or Beta stereo. If it is then you will need to buy special removal keys which you insert into slots near the sides of the unit. When these engage you then pull out the entire unit. They can be bought on ebay for about 3 quid.

If its the double size one or sat nav its easy.
Remove the black plastic that goes round radio and heater etc, start from the bottom gentley with small flat screw driver, Its just a case of gently following it round un popping the clips.
then the radio or sat nav just has 4 torx screws and yr done!
