we have narrowed it down to 2 cars.... (convertibles) both at the same dealer having looked at 3 others travelling over 200 miles in the process!!!

2008 57 plate 49k 2.0t petrol £13950 black special edition
or
2008 58 plate 26k 2.0t petrol £16,500 grey special edition

both have the same spec/wheels etc and in excellent condition.

We like the low mileage of the grey one and the fact it is a 58 plate not a 57 but is this really worth 2.5k more????

Your thoughts would be appreciated

1) how many miles are you going to do over a year if it's average then ghe higher milage of the two isn't an issue

2.) how long do you intend to keep it, this is in relation to above point,

3) have you really checked they are the same they may look it from the outside but with audi EVERYTHING was an option extra, things like, mood lighting, auto dimming mirror, auto lights, bluetooth, cruise control, dis. Mfsw, ect the list is endless.

The price gap is a bit much the the newer one may have more toys fitted.

Personally I prefer the black one its a pain to clean but a far better colour than grey.

both have bose, multi changer, rs4 18inch wheels (the seven double spoke ones) heated seats, leather, climate control, xenon's.

We will do about 12k a year.

If you have the extra cash then your getting a car with almost 2 years less mileage on it (compared to the mileage that you will be doing).
But then again it is £2,500 that you could spend somewhere else plus black will look better.

Update - In the end we went for neither. Instead i have purchased a 2007 2.0 s line in black 39,000 miles for £10,900. Previous owner has had kids climbing in and out, interior and exterior need a serious valet. Picking it up tomorrow and specialist valet fella giving it the works including paint restoration plus removing scratches and minor scrape for £200 + vat. This includes the interior of course. (not the little polish fella on the corner) Alloys kerbed so ordered a set of RS4 18inch replicas today also.

One down side is no heated seats - but does have parking sensors!!! just serviced, next service is also paid for too. Just had new discs and pads all round too. 1 year warranty on the hood remaining too.

Very temped by chrome wing mirrors!!

so £11500 basically!
