iPhone and Audi

As the A7 is simply an A6 hatchback, it is a shame that it has a separate forum. By that reckoning the A6 Avant should be on a different forum than the Saloon, but hey, I digress.

The point is that A6 owners should be interested in what's happening in the A7 forum and vice versa, and I particularly would like to draw your attention to this thread (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?119062-MMI-Navigation-Plus-Online-Services-Mobile-Phones) about Audi's attitude to iPhone owners.

There is a plea towards the end for anyone suffering from having to choose between an iPhone and an Audi to call Customer Services and complain.

So, if anyone is in that boat please read the thread.

May be worth looking at this post also. I've now given up with Audi dealers and their apparent total inability to deal with technical issues. They appear to be looking for the easy way out which, in both our cases appears to blame the iphone? :zx11:

I think it's a bit unfair to heap all the blame on Audi. Essentially, we have two industrial giants each saying that their solution is better than the others, so they will not speak to each other; we, the ones who actually pay their wages are the ones to take the hit. But you cannot say that either party is wrong, it's the combination.

Just sent Audi technical this very query. I wasn't christened surname first followed by forename so why should my car display in this manner. Sort it!

I really wish that were the case Tim. Looks like you have a different version of the MMI to me. Is yours the MMI 3G+? Mines the MMI 3G high m,fitted to a 2009 C6 model :-( I just bet Audi saw this as an issue in the latest version and sorted it. What about us with slightly older versions?
