Parking brake not coming off automatically A4 1.8 SE Petrol

When I pull off the parking brake does not automatically release. It has worked previously.

Is this a fault or am I doing something wrong?

Just searched on the forum - guess it's because I didn't have my seat belt on sorry.

If you have access to VCDS (VAG-COM, RossTech, whatever people are calling it today :) ), you can change this behavior so it also works when your seatbelt is not on. THere might be someone around the forums in your area - they can also (usually for beer.....) fiddle around with other exciting setting for you.

Haha, mate you wont be the first, I've done it too!

You can manually take the brake off if you put your foot on the footbrake while pushing the button.

Yeah ha ha felt such a clot. Showed my friend's family my lovely new A4 then couldn't get out of his drive :)
