Hi.
I have a Audi A6 Avant 2.0 TFSi. My MMI has been working great since I got the car 2 years ago. However, the MMI screen now shows that the telephone is not installed. Stansted Audi have diagnosed it a a Telephone control unit problem which now needs replacing.

Having searched the Web for answers etc, some say that there was a recall for this unit??? Can anyone shed some light on this? How much for a new one?

All answers welcome!

Hi, this is a bluetooth/telephone module that should fit your car

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-Bluetooth-unit-module-genuine-4E0-862-335-4E0-910-336-F-/280834110495?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item416304741f

Hardware part No:4E0 862 335 Software part No:4E0 910 336 F (my software is M but this can be updated at home with MMI 5570 update)

You will need an Audi dealer to probably remove component protection from module, this will probably be in region of 1 hours labour. I think module is £500-£1000 from Audi.

Does your rear washer system work? as sometimes pipe work of that can come apart and that will short the telephone module which also near it in the front passenger foot well. Here is thread about it on this forum http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?90321-A6-Avant-Rear-Washer-Problem

It's odd your MMI is still working because from what I understood as the telephone module is on the fibre optic ring if one module fails then all others stop working aswell eg cd changer/mmi/voice control etc
