Appologies first post here, I am usually a 106 owner but just helping my bros girlfriend out. Her engine has been cutting out on slowing down sparadically for the past couple of months and is now getting worse and worse.
On one occasion she had the RAC out who came up with the code P1031.
A search came up with this:
Possible Causes
Intake Manifold Flap blocked/tight
Intake Manifold Tuning Valve (N136) faulty
Intake Manifold Tuning Valve Position Sensor (G336) faulty
Possible Solutions
Check Intake Manifold Tuning Valve (N136)
Check Intake Manifold Tuning Valve Position Sensor (G336)
Check Intake Manifold Flap
Does this sound familiar to anyone as a common problem? What would anyone suggest the plan of attack should be? I would like to diagnose for her rather than a garage telling her what she needs.
