Door mirror replacement

Some clown smacked my door mirror and basically wrote it off so I now need to replace it.
Having taken a look at whether replacing is an easy job or not, it looks like a special tool is needed to undo it rather than just a screw driver.

Anyone know?

Car is a Coupe, year 1998 L reg, 2 litre.

I took mine off to paint them, car was a 95. I cant remember exactly what i did and car is now sold but from memory theres nothing special required, torx bits perhaps?

Mirror bought on ebay (exact colour match too) and my local garage fitted it for some beer tokens !
