Broken Pipe

Hi there im new on here and was hoping that someone can help me out,
I have a 98 Audi A4 Avant 2.8 auto estate.
It has a broken pipe the runs from the LH side of the engine across the top between the head and the coil packs(Please see picture). Can anyone tell me what it is and if and where i can get one, I have meet a brick wall with alot of brakers saying that the dont stock hoses.

I don't have this engine but with most parts like this, it should have the part no. stamped onto it somewhere. Have you taken the hose off and checked for a part no? Had to replace an obscure breather hose on my 1.8 recently and could just make out the part number to identify a replacement.
